A free concert celebrating 20 years of encouraging young pianist to persevere with their music studies.

Back in 2007 the founding of the non-profit Francie's Youth Piano Competition began with 4 levels.  It has blossomed over the 20 years, offering cash prizes, certificates, and trophies for 12 levels, inviting distinguished judges from Cochise County and Tucson.  The competition catered to as many as 88 students in one day, expanding the judging time and costs.  With your free will offering and support we will be able to continue our events despite growing larger offering adjudication in two places at the same because of the growing numbers of participants.

The free recital is scheduled for Saturday March 21st at 6 p.m. at the Buena High School Klein Performing Center for the Arts.  It will feature all the first place winners from our previous competition along with local artists performing piano solos, and duets, solo vocalists and choirs, oboe, trumpet, violin, and harp.

We will feature the 7 time winner Brandon Deleon who has just graduated from ARizona State University in Music Therapy and a minor in Psychology.  He is now a board-certified neurologic music therapist, utilizing primary instruments of piano, guitar, voice and percussion to aid in positively impacting the lives other people affected by neurodegenerative disorders, strokes, TBis, Co, developmental disabilities and other neurologic conditions.  He was the single most winner of this piano competition and has been a delight to follow his progress and development over the years from 2011 to 2020.FYPC 2026 20th Annual Fundraising Recital for Francie’s Youth Piano Competition
